Bayard
Beagles first started in 1966 with a hound called Yovec Beaufort sired
by Moorcliff Dialynne Vagabond x Manico Trespass.In 1970 Beaufort
was mated to a bitch, Irrisistible of Backmuir and they produced CH
Bayard Pisces.
In 1972
came CH Bayard Olga ( Irrisistible of
Backmuir x Bayard Garnet.)who was later mated to CH Dufosee Zeneth
and produced the two winners CH Bayard Zither
and her Brother Bayard Zobra who was exported as a young dog to Germany.

Bayard Zither had her first litter by Douglas Appleton's
American Import CH & AM CH Pin Oaks Dynasty of Appeline
which produced our favourite boy CH
Bayard Zachariah who sadly died in 1997.
Zac
has produced many English and Overseas champions and has put
his stamp on the BAYARD lines as can be seen from the photographs
of his sons and daughters.
Our
most recent Champion CH Bayard Anastasia
carries on the line and type.

In
1997 we imported a bitch from the famous Australian CLARION
Kennels, AUST. CH. Clarion Carillon Bellbird ( AUST CH Clarion
Cloak x CH & AUST CH Bayard Rustle)
who was in whelp to AUST. CH. Clarion Comedy.She had six puppies
born in Quarantine - 2 Dogs and 4 Bitches of which we kept
3 - DK CH Bayard Bilabong - Bayard
Calamity Jane and Bayard Alice Springs.
Billy
has proved to be an excellent Sire and produced in his first
litter CH Annavah Cranberry who
qualified at the tender age of 9 months for the finals of
the Pet Plan Junior Stakes. She also won several heats of
the Beta/Dog World Stakes and was unlucky not to qualify for
the finals.
